Did you see that list of items? It's full of weapons, but don't be a fool about it. If anyone asks for a universal room access card, we'll have to consider a frame job every single time someone is murdered. It's something all of you inexperienced do-gooders need to remember! I'd certainly frame someone for a theft job if I had the chance.

Wouldn't the universal room access card be valid only for murdering purposes? More concretely, to murder Raleigh or Maria? That is how I interpreted it.

Who knows? We'll have to ask for more information, but wouldn't it be more useful to sneak into your room and pluck some hairs from your pillow to leave behind than it would be to kill someone in their own room?

That's another annoying point! While I'd certainly love an all-access card for snooping, letting someone else have one for such nefarious reasons has to be stopped. If they used one and weren't found guilty, they could go anywhere they liked!

There's always gonna be more weapons, especially if they're just given one for killing certain people.

Not sure what we'd do with them anyway. There's not exactly an airlock to throw them out of. We could break them, but someone could always put a gun back together, and a sword isn't exactly useless when you only have half of one.

But if the problem is frame jobs, it'll be much harder to frame someone who doesn't have a weapon. Also, it won't take us as long to identify the possible weapon from the ridiculous amount of knives people have. [ Seriously, people. ]

I figure we could get the AI to take them, anyway.

Sorry, I don't buy that. Some people have weapons that don't serve a defensive purpose. Like poison.

Maybe you're defending yourself and you end up killing the person. It's still a murder, there's still a trial.

It's a sound idea, but I think destined to fail. Though a staff isn't a weapon [yes it fucking is], those without magic have always viewed magic as a threat. You can take away an axe, or a set of knives, but you can't change what we can do with a thought. It's natural they wouldn't see discarding their weapons as making them safer.

I agree, in theory... But it doesn't change the fact that even if you could convince the rest to agree, half of these guys are powerful enough to pound the rest into mush with one finger. For the record, I'd rather be shot or stabbed than punched to death.

That would at least narrow down the suspect pool. There would also be less people capable of being murderers.

Hey, you gave it a shot. But when it comes down to it...the gold-digging nurse lady found her "weapon" here. I'd feel a lot better if people disarmed, but it probably doesn't change who is capable of murdering anyone else here, no matter what...

You do get that you don't really need weapons to kill somebody don't you? If somebody wants to murder somebody bad enough, they'll get creative. But nice idea. [Please don't touch his sword.]

No, we can't stop people from killing. But we can make it easier to catch them at it. Do you remember how we could barely figure out the murder weapon with certainty? Probably because people are keeping a weird amount of blades around.
